We are the Vancouver Chapter of the Special Interest Group for Computer Graphics of the ACM. We are a non-profit scientific and professional society serving researchers, professionals and artists in the greater Vancouver area who are involved in the fields of computer graphics and interactive techniques. This includes 2D and 3D graphics, multimedia, visualization and simulation, as well as video games and virtual reality.
SIGGRAPH Professional Chapters form a global network within the SIGGRAPH community, each providing a geographically localized focus of activities and exchanges, and all contributing to the enthusiasm, creative energy and high standards of the SIGGRAPH annual conference.
The people and the organizations in the greater Vancouver area who are involved in these fields form a unique and exciting community, both in terms of technology and of culture. Our goal is to strengthen this community by providing frequent opportunities for both formal and informal communication among its members.
